About Dan Carson and Family
Dan and his wife Cary have been married since August, 1979. They have two children, Daniel and Deeann.
Dan has been involved in youth ministry for over 30 years. He has served on staff at three different churches and in a full time traveling ministry since 1993.
Dan grew up in DeSoto, Texas, has a Church Music Degree from Dallas Baptist University, and a Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dan also helped start First Priority of Texarkana (a campus Bible club ministry).
Dan is the founder of Carport Sound, a sing-along-trax resource for Youth and Children's ministries.
Dan's wife Cary teaches 12th grade Sunday school at First Baptist Church Texarkana, teaches 1st grade at Pleasant Grove Elementary, and is a full time mom, wife, secretary, editor, and best friend to Dan.
She is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma and finished at Dallas Baptist University with an elementary education degree.
Dan and Cary met at music week at Glorieta Baptist Conference center in New Mexico in 1977. How Sweet!
Daniel, Dan and Cary's son, graduated from High School in May 2001. He is now playing lead guitar with Chris Tomlin. Daniel is living his dream. Daniel and Chris have toured with Delirious, Stephen Curtis Chapman, and has led worship on the Passion Tour with the David Crowder Band, Charlie Hall, Watermark, Matt Redman, and Louie Giglio.
